Brody's first prayer!

Every night before dinner, we say the blessing, and Brody decides who will pray.  Tonight, he said "Broby" would pray, and it was the sweetest and most precious thing you have every heard.  There was some mumbling, but the words we heard very clearly were..."Dear Jesus, Thank you rice, thank you ketchup...baby....mama, daddy.....Amen."  It was the best thing ever!  There was rice and ketchup on his plate, and it is just like we pray- thanking God for our food and family!  What an awesome blessing to hear that!  We are doing well- things are a little easier now that Emery is doing better.  She can sit up, roll over, "scoot" to where she wants to be, and sleeps better most nights.  She has come a long way the past 2 weeks!  She loves her brother and he loves her!  Brody loves playing with the baby and talking to her, and she loves watching him. Brody likes to get in her face and kiss her, and Emery likes to pull his hair and touch his face.  There are moments that are hard, especially when Emery doesn't sleep, but overall...what an amazing time of life!!!

A couple of weeks ago, we went to a wedding in Greensboro, NC.  Renee and Kevin were great friends from residency, and we were so excited to get to spend the weekend celebrating them!  It was a beautiful wedding, and we had a wonderful time.  They are friends that we will have throughout our lives, and are so thankful for them!  Emery is halfway dressed here...she has her pretty panties on!  (Brody stayed at home with Gram and Pop!)

They are a beautiful couple and it was so sweet to see how much they love each other!  The wedding and reception were so much fun!  The Candy Shop at the reception was definitely a highlight, as well as the awesome cake!

Renee and Krista with Emery - she was so tired, but loved the music, dancing, and lights at the reception!

The Erie boys...Kevin, Brad, Joe and Jay

Jay's office organized a softball team this fall.  We were 4 and 4, so not that bad, and we had a really fun time playing!  Brody came to some games, and loved playing in the dirt and eating snow cones!

To be honest...Jay was for sure the best person on the team!

We took Brody to Little Rock last week to spend time with just him, and left Emery with a sitter.  We went to a shopping center with a kid's haircut place, so we decided to get his hair cut by someone other than Daddy for the first time - he didn't like it too much!  We asked him afterwards if he wants to go back to this place or have Daddy do it, and he chose Daddy!  I guess we will save some money at least!

We went to "All Aboard" to eat dinner.  There were trains everywhere, and a train even dropped off our food at our table.  Brody loved it and had a great time.  He did say he wanted to "do that again" but wanted to bring the baby next time!  I guess he does like his baby sister!

Last weekend we went to Fort Smith to help Grandma and Papa pack up their house...they are moving to Conway! They bought a new house and are leaving their house of 30 years to come here, so we are very excited!  It was sad to leave Jay's house that he grew up in, but we look forward to lots of great memories to come here!
