Loving life!

It doesn't get much better than visiting with family and playing in the rain and mud!  We are all enjoying our time before the new baby comes! Brody loves looking at pictures from our wedding!  34 weeks and counting here...

All dry now!  Papa and Grandma came last week to play and make curtains for the baby's room.  They turned out great... those pics another time when it is finished!

We also went to the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock again last week - we decided to be members since we love it so much!

Later that day, Brody and I went to Searcy to meet my family at Fuji for Gram and Matt's birthday.  Jay had to work late, so he didn't get to enjoy it!  We had a great time! Thanks Pop!

Spring time!

The weather has just been beautiful, and we love playing outside! Brody wants to be outside ALL day!  We play in the yard, walk to the park, and go play in the huge sand pile at the construction site close to our house. Here are a few pics from the Wonder Place - we went there with a play group last week.

Jay was off this past weekend.  We did some yard work on Saturday and had Ryan and Alisa and Dana and Brandon over for burgers that night.  Sunday, Ginger and the whole McFadden crew came to visit.  Ginger helped me decorate some more, and Brett, Ley, and the boys played with Brody all day.  We had a really fun time with them, but I don't have any pictures!

Uncle Matt, Aunt Libby, Tom and Austin came to visit this weekend! We had the best time!  The boys just love playing together and it was nice to get to visit with Matt and Libby!  We cooked out Friday night and just played around the house.  Saturday, we played outside and walked to the park.  Brody just adores Uncle Matt, and he thinks Pop or Matt are driving every tractor, digger or truck we see!

Sunday, we went to NLR with Jay for his soccer game.  Brody played with tractors and we went on a walk during the game, and after the game, we all went to eat in Little Rock.

Brody Thomas - 18 months old!

Brody turned 1 and 1/2 a couple of weeks ago - time sure does go by fast! He has been the biggest blessing! Brody is such a sweet and happy little boy, and it is so much fun watching him grow up and learn new things everyday. Here are a few of his favorite things:

-LOVES being outside!  We play in the yard or the park several hours a day.
-He is getting to be more of a picky eater, but still eats pretty good.  He loves to "dip" things - anything!  Cereal in milk, apples in peanut butter, his finger in ketchup!
-He is about the 10th percentile for height, and about 30th for weight, so small!  He is wearing mostly 12 month old clothes, but can wear some 18 month clothes.
-He loves tractors, diggers, Pop, Papa, (he can't say Gram or Grandma!) and "Nat", which is Uncle Matt!  He also loves his Mama and Daddy, and gives the best hugs and kisses ever!

Our other sweet little upcoming addition to the family is 31 weeks old - Brody is going to be a great big brother!

 

We have been pretty active lately - lots of playgroups and parks and friends!

When Jay was off 2 weekends ago, we decided to start on the temporary baby room, which is actually the "study" or "sitting room" at the entrance of our bedroom.  Brody was a big helper...

The bed is ready!  Now, for the chest and decorations...still not done, but this was a start!

Grandma and Papa came for the day last Friday to play with Brody.  We also started a little work on what will hopefully be the new baby's curtains and crib skirt!

There is a house being built 1/4 of a mile from ours, and Brody wants to go play there everyday!  He wakes up and all he thinks about is going to see the "digger"!!

Today we met Gram and Austin at the Rivermarket in Little Rock.  We had so much fun playing at the park, watching the boats go by, and eating yummy food.  The weather was amazing and the boys love playing together!
