I can't believe Emery is 6 months old! She is just so much happier now than she was even a month or 2 ago, and sleeps better too! She can sit up really well and scoot to about anywhere she wants to go. Her favorite toys to play with are a yellow duck, a slinky, Sophie the giraffe, and really anything of Brody's, which doesn't go over too well! She is eating rice cereal now with a veggie and/or fruit a couple times a day. She has gotten better at eating, and enjoys it! She doesn't like veggies as much as fruit, but can you blame her?! Life is a little easier now that she can entertain herself some, and "play" with Brody. I just love kissing and rubbing on her - that is an awesome thing about a baby!!! She just giggles when I kiss on her head and neck - those moments are priceless!
Brody is a great big brother! He is very busy and quite the talker as well. Now that it is cooler, we enjoy playing outside a lot again. He also loves making tents in the house, pretending to make hot dogs, and keeping the lawn looking good by mowing, weed eating, and blowing!

Brody painted pumpkins with Jessica - we LOVE Jessica!! She keeps Brody and Emery a couple times a week so I can do errands, or we can have a date night - she is just great with both kids!

Pop and Gram came to visit last week for the day just to play with the kids...

Emery loves this thing... you put fruit in it, and she just chews on it without a risk of choking - it is awesome and it will entertain her for a long time!
This is Emery with Cooper - he is a month younger. Cooper's brother and sister (twins) are Brody's age, and Melissa is one of my best friends ever, so we love any excuse to get together to play and chat!
Saturday, Jay and I took the kids to the zoo in Little Rock. The day started out crazy - we were eating at Taco Bueno on our way out of town for lunch, and Emery knocked over an entire bowl of salsa into the diaper bag!! We were able to save 1 diaper for each kid, so we just hoped for no poop while we were gone. Our luck turned around though, and they day went very well - we had a great time!
Emery was so good, and ended up sleeping for a while too...
Waiting for the train...Brody's favorite parts were riding the train and seeing the zoo keeper's jeep!!
