Talledega!!

Our really good friends from Erie - Mike and Elena - came to visit us this past weekend. We were looking for something different to do, and since we are only 45 minutes from Talledega, and their visit just happened to be one of the 2 biggest races of the year there, we decided to go! We left Brody with a sitter and went for the day. We had no idea what to expect, but it was so fun and such a great experience! We really had a great time and learned a lot about Nascar racing!

Before the race

Waiting for the shuttle to take us to the entrance

Enjoying some good food!

The view from our seats - the cars went by so fast you could see them coming and going, but not when they are right in front of you!

When we got home, we picked up Brody and went to eat Mexican food. Brody is apparently enjoying it!

Elena and Mike

Brody had rice for the first time, and obviously loved it!

Having lunch at Jim n Nicks the next day

Brody enjoying his lemon!

We visited the Vulcan statue one day - the weather was great the entire time! We spent a lot of time outside on the back deck too

Elena and I - Jay built a fire outside one night

Brody hanging out with Mike! Thanks so much for coming guys! We are so thankful for you both and can't wait to see you in Erie this summer!

Brody discovered that he can eat his feet!

Look at me! He pulls up on everything!! He tries to pull up on doors and walls too, which is why he has bruises all over his forhead! He is also definitely a CRAWLER now! He can go to other rooms or wherever he wants!

Brody at storytime at the library

Some of the other babies after we finished singing and reading

The Easter bunny came a couple of days early - he apparently sends things in the mail! We got a package from Grandma and Papa and one from Gram and Pop on the same day, so it was fun checking out all the loot! Thanks Grandparents!!

Look at the big knot on my eye!!

At one point, he had 6 bruises on his face and cheeks!! Poor sweet baby!! He just loves getting into things and moving!
