1 month and 21 months

Emery is 1 month old and Brody is 21 months!  Here is a little about each one:

Emery - 8lbs 7 oz, 20 in - she has grown so much!!  She is eating well and sleeping better all the time.  She usually sleeps 4 to 4.5 hours at night, eats, then sleeps another 3.5 or so; however, last night she did go 6 hours between feedings, so lets hope that is a new trend and not a 1-time event!  She still cries a lot while awake, but we love her very much - she is our pretty little girl!  Look how much I have grown - from 1 week...

to 1 month...

I think you look a little like Brody did!

Brody - you are such a fun little boy right now!  You have an ever expanding vocabulary, and can repeat anything anyone says...so be careful what you say around Brody!!  You eat what we eat for dinner, and your favorite foods are olives, pistachios (although these are banned for a while because you tried to eat the shells!), crackers, chocolate, fruit shakes, and any fruit.  You are an awesome sleeper - usually from about 7:30 or 8pm to about 7:30am.  You are a great big brother and give "Mimi" kisses all day!  You enjoy your friends and talk about them all the time.  We still play outside a lot - in the sand, water, go on walks, see the diggers, and mow, among other activities! 

Here are some other things that have been going on the past couple of weeks...trying on our life jacket to prepare for the lake with Kara and Matt and their family...Emery didn't really like it!  Hopefully she does ok at the lake this weekend!

Sweet Emery has to eat and sleep outside during the day so we can keep an eye on big brother!

Matt, Libby, Tom and Austin came to visit last Sunday.  We had such a nice visit, and they took Brody home to stay with Gram and Pop for a few days, which was such a nice blessing because we hadn't been getting much sleep!  They all had chocolate milkshakes for dinner on the way home, and Brody still talks about the shake with Uncle Matt!

Gram brought Brody back on Wednesday and visited with us for a while

Gram and Pop came her on Saturday night so they could go to church with us on Sunday.  We went out to eat that night...

and had the baby dedication for both Brody and Emery on Sunday morning at church.  We had a wonderful and blessed Mother's day!  It was great to be able to dedicate my sweet babies to the Lord as well as have my Mom there!  Happy Mother's Day!
