Memorial Day in Charleston, SC

Our really good friends Cara and Marshall got married this weekend in Charleston, South Carolina. We were so glad we were able to make the trip - we had a great time and the wedding was just beautiful and lots of fun. We are so thankful for such great lifelong friends, and we wish them the very best!

Just arrived in Charleston! Ready to hit the beach and pool!

We walked around downtown Charleston on Saturday afternoon and met Brad, Andrea and Abigail for dinner...

...and ICE CREAM!! It required 2 bibs for Brody and ended up ALL over my white shirt!

Hanging out with Daddy by the pool!

I love swimming!

We had lunch and swam before the wedding on Sunday

Andrea and I with our sweet babies!

Precious Abigail!

The reception was just beautiful - it was on a golf course right next to the bay and the weather was amazing

This is the only picture I got of Cara and Marshall! Cara looked beautiful and Marshall was grinning the entire time! Brody had a sitter for a few hours during the reception, but made an appearance toward the end of the night - he loved dancing and especially wedding cake!

Brody with his other girlfriend Isla - we went to swim at Lisa and Isla's house today and had fun playing with the babies!

Summer is here!

It has been nice weather lately, and is definitely starting to get HOT already! We have been enjoying playing outside while we can though. Friday was Jay's birthday! We hung out outside all day and cooked out that night.

I'm about to put this stick in my mouth!

We went to the farmer's market Saturday morning

About to crawl in that pool!

Brody has been cocking his head to the side like this - so funny! We think it is because when he crawls out of the room, we look for him with our heads like that, so he does it all the time now!

Sunday night we went to dinner with Cara, Marshall, Andrea and Brad - and of course sweet Abigail!

Tuesday we had a playdate with John Tanner and Lilli - we met at Sherry's house and walked to the park to play

Sweet babies!

Brody Thomas - 9 months old!!

I can't believe Brody is 9 months old already! He is just so much fun and we are so thankful for him! Here are a few things he is up to:

-Crawls everywhere! He can go anywhere, and fast too! He also pulls up on everything and loves to walk around holding on to things. He is great at walking around the coffee table and couch - the new trick is to go from one piece of furniture to another! His balance is improving.

-Goes to bed about 7:30pm and sleeps until 7 or 7:30am; usually takes 2 naps a day, but sometimes won't go to sleep for one of them!

-Loves to eat!! He will eat anything we give him! His newest favorites are melon, chicken, fish, sweet potatos and rice, but he still loves squash, bananas and really any fruit - not picky at all!

-Weighs about 19 and 1/2 pounds and wears 9 to 12 month clothes

-Brody loves baths, pools, riding in the stroller, and anything outside

-And best of all for us - he LOVES his Mom and Dad!!

Brody loves to play in our new pool! We also started Water Babies classes this week - and he LOVED it! He was splashing and kicking and laughing the whole time!

We did some shopping this weekend, and the mirrors were obviously the best part!

Out to eat at Landry's on Saturday night

Happy as long as you give me food!

Riding around in the laundry basket!

Getting ready for our swimming class

Cheerios!

Look - I got my paci out of the bed!

Brody and I went to the park today just the 2 of us! We did the swings, strolled around and watched the big kids, and had a picnic.

Yummy!

Anniversary, Mother's Day, and a new house!

We had a very big week this past week! Jay and I had our 6 year anniversary on Friday. We drove to Wynne that evening because Jay had a course in Conway on Saturday and we were going house hunting on Sunday. We got to watch Tom play T-ball! Saturday night, we had a Mother's day cook out with my family - we had a fire, hot dogs, and smores. The smores were awesome - we used Peeps for the marshmellows! It was my first Mother's day too, so that was special! It was also nice to be able to be with my Mom on Mother's day - she is such an amazing person and Mom - we love you Gram! Sunday, Jay and I went to Conway, and Gram and Pop kept Brody. We were back in Wynne Monday night, and the proud owners of a new house! We love it and are looking forward to moving!

Waiting on Daddy to get home so we can go to Arkansas!

Gram and Pop took the cover off their pool. It wasn't really ready to swim yet, but that didn't stop sweet Tom! It was freezing, but he still wanted to swim!

By standers! Too cold for Gram and Uncle Matt

He liked it!

Everyone hanging out during our cookout!

Brody gets to taste the smores too!

Sweet boy looks like he lost a fight - bruises and cuts all over his face from getting into everything!

We missed Brody while we were house hunting! We were so glad to see him!
